Production financing and management company �鶹ֱ�� (EP) has appointed Anne Loi as president, Canada.

Effective May 5, Loi (pictured), based in Toronto, will lead EP’s strategy and operations in Canada with a focus on business growth and market expansion, strategic partnerships and industry engagement. She will be taking over for Cheryl Nex who is retiring from the role of president, Canada after three decades. Nex will remain at the company through the end of the year in a reduced role to aid with the transition, a company spokesperson told Playback Daily.

Loi, a member of the Canadian Film Centre and Canadian Media Producers Association board of directors, most recently served as EVP, M&A and CCO at WildBrain. Loi had been with Decode Entertainment as SVP, finance and operations prior to its 2006 merger with Halifax Film Company that formed DHX Media, later becoming WildBrain.

At WildBrain, she led content and IP investments, strategic partnerships and M&A activities along with working creative teams to develop a slate of kids and family programming.

Prior to Decode, Loi held roles including VP, financial strategy at ExtendMedia and director, finance at Lavalife.
